How to Ask for Help
You do not need perfect words. Starting the conversation is enough.
What to know
Choose someone reasonably safe and a time when they can listen.
Be specific about what has been happening and how long.
Say what you need: listening, an appointment, help leaving a situation, or crisis support.
Try it
Try: I need to tell you something important. I have been feeling ___. It has been happening for ___. I need help with ___.
When to reach out
If the first person dismisses you, try another trusted adult.
